My Mission

At Mr. Bill's Gear, I am passionate about self-reliance. Everything I get done in my life, I do myself. And now, I even write books from those years of experiences and my deranged imagination. Everything you need is in your own head; you just must wake it up.

My Story

For starters, Mr. Bill's Gear is a play on my name, Bill Gear. I started with a simple eBay store: it was a way to fund my outdoor life. Over the years, it migrated to be my alter ego to include not only the finest survival equipment recommendations but also a collection of books, guides, and resources that inspire and inform.

I am an IT professional professional by trade and an avid outdoorsman by nature. I started writing books as a hobby about 10 plus years ago. It was an awesome way to get thoughts, dreams, and experiences out of my head. I use everyday life, people I know, and my overactive imagination to craft my characters and stories.

Lady Laura

Lady Laura is my lovely wife of over 15 years. We have a keen interest in most of the same things. She has started her Antique business up and is joining the Mr. Bill's Gear website.

My Vision

I aim to offer good information on how and where to locate the supplies to survive this world along with some entertainment to make it all seem a bit better.
