• The Urban Redneck

  In the years between 1967 and whatever year it is now, I have searched for where I fit in. I think I fit everywhere and nowhere, all at the same time. I have a certain spin on life that usually does not match with the company I keep. Whether it is work or social, I always must keep some attributes about myself a secret. So, if I sound like I fit in somewhere, I can confidently say, I do not, and probably will never. My definition of myself, “The Urban Redneck” is how I feel every day. I show up to work in my dress clothes and toot the corporate horn. I will eventually retire from my business life and just become a common Redneck, but till then, here I am.

  Some of this literary masterpiece is humor, some is truth, and some is just the way it should be. I hope you enjoy my madman ramblings.

• Silence Of The Grid, The first book in the "Silence Of The Grid Series"

  The Stormm family’s saga starts here. The first or pilot book for the series. Follow Blake, Lorain, and all the characters through this saga of death, destruction, and the will to survive.

  In the absence of light, there is darkness. Darkness will rule when the machines are unleashed. When AI becomes God. God cares no more. All that is left, is death and destruction!

  In the coming years, Artificial Intelligence systems will become mainstream. People will stop making decisions and the machines will act on their own. We will think we are in control, but we will not be. We will think we are safe but won’t. The inventions of humans will outpace their own intelligence. This story depicts a group of zealots who use AI to forward their ideology. Like Pandoras box, once it is open, it can’t be closed.

  When the grid failed in 2025 from a massive Artificial Intelligence Super Virus, Terry Stormm was not quite ready. His father, Blake, had warned him, but life as a high paid data jockey was just too important to see the coming disaster. Staring out of his garage after the lights went dark, Terry noticed a glow to the south. Damn, the entire neighborhood was on fire… He would have to run.

  Running from certain death, Terry and his family face perils like they never knew before. Fires, bombs, bandits, and earthquakes are just some of the things trying to bring them to their knees. Will they survive? Will they find any of their family? Or will they have to build a new life within the burning world?

  At the end of Blake’s disastrous marriage, he meets his soul mate. Lorain is a bit older, but you could never tell. As Blake navigates getting out of one marriage to get into another, his past comes to visit, and it is a dark past. Blake must keep his new love in the dark while he sorts out aspects of a former secret life. Lorain is not the naive woman she lets on to be, she has a sorted past of her own with skeletons in the closet and bodies in the back yard.

  A Stormm is coming, a Blake Stormm. Blake has been a law-abiding man for 33 years. He has a wife, kids, and an old house. He works a normal job and drives a normal car. He is the posterchild of normality. Everything changes with one crazy idea. He wants to join the military; he hates the fact that the government says he is almost too old, and he wants to prove them wrong.

  When Blake is recruited by an unknown offshoot of the US military (The Company), he will spend the next seven years in his own action movie. From drug dealers to biker gangs to rogue politicians, he will learn the art of taking out the enemy at all costs. What will he do when his seven-year contract is up?

  One hundred years in the future. The planet has recovered. The lines have been redrawn, new countries and leaders battle for dominance. The distant Stormm descendants are still in the game. Not known to anyone, the super AI virus crashed a research vehicle into an unsuspecting asteroid a hundred years in their past. That act will bring the Earth to its final days.
